12 Year Old Felony
by Ricky Garni
I squeeze bicycles like lemons.
No wait! It’s canteloupes, isn’t it?
Ripe, luscious melons. Then Gorgeous
walks out of my playing cards and
says: “Hey! Get a load of these!”
and Gosh Do I and terrified
I jump on my bike
and ride away as fast
as I can through a field
of canteloupe trees no, wait!
No such thing!
They’re lemons–sour, delicious,
tangy and ripe and filled with
women running backwards
to my forwards earlier
I shuffled the deck
and cut the cards and
stared long and serious
but not like somebody
who knew just like
somebody who wondered
